Zara

My obsession with Zara seriously needs some professional seeing to. But until further notice, I will continue to feed my obsession.

Kori

Instantly fell in love with these Alexander Wang 'Kori' boots... and lo and behold, an ebay seller has made a copy of these bad boys at a fraction of the price! Since i could never realistically own a real pair you can understand my genuine excitement about getting a pair that resembles the original. Viva ebay!

London's Fashion Night Out 2011

Like most things I do, this post is a bit late so I feel a bit out of touch from Thursday's happenings. However despite my memory loss, partly due to the free drinks on offer, I do remember that I had an amazing night.

Topshop was our first port of call where we searched insistently for the free bar and to our surprise, we found NADA! If i'm honest there wasn't really much going on at Topshop except for a really informative talk from an in-store stylist. So, in search of some better entertainment (and frankly free booze) we made our way onto New Bond Street. We actually managed to catch a performance by the lovely Yasmin who gave us a taste of what we can expect from her in the upcoming months. After 'sampling' the various delights of the designer stores, we finally ended up at Vivienne Westwood.

On a completely different note, I finally got my hair done today (special thanks to Ore for putting them in for me) and I cannot stop touching it. They're clip-in hair extensions which is perfect for me because I'm a gym-bunny and get bored with my hair quite easily.

FCUK: I Am The Suit

Okay, so the song isn't the original by Chris Brown but it's certainly a good cover of Look At Me Now. I absolutely love this really creative ad, which is actually a trailer for French Connection's upcoming short film. Have a look and tell me what you think!

Life

I have literally been waiting for this year's Fashion Night Out for ages - especially after the amazing time I had at the event last year and I'm really excited that the day has finally arrived. It might seem a bit strange that I'm so excited about FNO but it's the only large fashion event I can attend this year because I need to be in Scotland for some university stuff. I don't particularly believe in making New Year's resolutions and instead believe in regular decisions to improve 'oneself', so with that in mind I've decided to make a resolution that I will hopefully stick to for a long time:

TO TAKE MORE PICTURES!

This resolution is partly based on my mum's nagging comment of how I never take enough pictures of myself and friends, which I admit is completely true. The photos that I do have are never taken by me and almost always taken on nights out and by nightclub photographers. I get this irrationally sick feeling in my throat and have no idea why. So in my quest to cure this feeling, I intend to take at least ONE photo per day. And what better way to start than with an outfit post? I will be taking photos of my outfit, as well as the outfits that my friends have chosen, for FNO tomorrow. Apologies in advance for the (inevitable) amount of boozy photos.

Dip It Low

Dip-dye, ombre or two-toned: whichever you choose to call it, it's clear that this hair trend is showing no signs of fading. I am literally obsessed with this hairstyle right now and I've been wanting to try this out with my hair for ages. However, i've had my hair in long ass braids since April to grow out so haven't had the chance - until now!

My hair still isn't as long as I would like (pic above) but there's nothing that hair extensions can't fix. I'm still undecided as to whether to be really safe and to go with a standard ombre tone to my hair or to get a little colour added to it. I've posted some pictures for inspiration to help in my quest for two-toned hair. I really hope that it suits me - more importantly i really hope that I go through with it! Those who know me well know that i'm not particularly spontaneous and think about things far too rationally and for far too long. My hair is really dark so I don't think that I could go for a really blonde tone at the bottom but the two i've posted here are just perfect and blend perfect with the natural dark hair.

The trend looks really great with a dash of colour but it probably requires a lot of upkeep. The turquoise tone and the blue one below are absolutely STUNNING! They're so mermaid-like and colourful and just ridiculously beautiful.
